The diversity in tones on this monotoned piece is awesome. It complements the piece so much.
Actually I feel a large sense of harmony and unity within this piece, things flow wondrously.
However I do agree the head seems a bit big and wonky for the body, but that doesn't take away from the piece at all, it gives it a sense of imperfection. And I feel that with the scribbles on the left, and the butterflies that imperfection whether a concept actually explored works magic here.
There is a line of action pointing upwards to the top left corner, and it's like the subject could be looking up at someone [more likely in a metaphorical sense] and therefore can learn from them, learn how to build off their own imperfections.
This is a wonderfully strong piece that to me shows one able look at the very essence of it's self.
